Miralem Pjanic has been at the centre of attention for the upcoming transfer window, as the Blues from London look to be keen in signing the midfielder after the recent appointment of Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge, which saw the Italian manager sign on a three year contract and will take charge of the English outfit after the Euro 2016.

Various transfer rumours have suggested that Pjanic will say farewell to AS Roma at the end of the season as Chelsea and the new boss Antonio Conte are the favourites to sign him. Having received the Best Coach of the Year award back in 2013, Conte will look to strengthen his new team who have had a dull 2015-16 season in all competitions.

League champions in the 2014-15 season, Chelsea now lie 10th in the Premier League table after interim manager Guus Hiddink took over the club as Jose Mourinho parted ways by mutual consent after losing 9 of their 16 league games.

The former Juventus manager is not only eyeing for Miralem Pjanic, but is also believed to attract players from Serie A including the likes of Leonardo Bonucci, Kostas Manolas and Radja Nainggolan. According to Tutto Mercato Web, the Bosnia and Herzegovina international flew into London to hold talks with the new manager.

The Evening Standard believes that Chelsea are ready to offer more than £65,000 per week for the 26 year old and who is rated at £30 million.

A big signing

Miralem Pjanic would be a big signing for The Pensioners if they are able to secure his services. He is the current assist leader in the Serie A and has now scored 12 goals in all competitions this season. Pjanic signed for AS Roma back in 2011 from French side Lyon for £8 million, and since then he has been ranked 55th in The 100 Best Footballers in the World in 2015 by The Guardian.

In all his years at the Stadio Olimpico, Pjanic has managed to make more than 170 appearances and was also awarded the Serie A Top Assist Provider in the 2014-15 season. The kind of player who loves to play through balls and is applauded for his dribbling, Miralem Pjanic has a lot to offer.

The number 15 of AS Roma is mostly known for his free kick abilities, which led to renowned set piece specialist Juninho describe him as the best free kick taker in 2015.

Another vessel of creativity

The Blues already boast the likes of Oscar and Cesc Fabregas in the heart of the midfield area, and with the addition of Miralem Pjanic, everyone can expect goals to come in for the club.

With Diego Costa’s lethal left foot and Pjanic’s excellent vision plus his ability to thread balls in from anywhere, there will be beautiful football under new fan favourite Antonio Conte.

Chelsea would want to get Miralem Pjanic’s signature as quickly as possible due to high interests from big clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona.
