According to reports, Ipswich Town have shown an interest in Southampton’s Lloyd Isgrove.

The 24 year old midfielder has also been linked with a move to Barnsley.

As reported by HITC:

“Nonetheless, the lack of traction in the Watkins deal could have pushed McCarthy towards pursuing Lloyd Isgrove, one of many technically gifted Southampton graduates, the Sun reports.

The talented attacker is no budding youngster with the whole of his career lying ahead of him. Isgrove is 24 and, with just one Premier League appearance to his name, looks increasingly likely to look elsewhere in search of opportunities.

The once-capped Wales international, who is also capable on the wing or up front, excelled on loan at Barnsley last season, although his career statistics will elicit some concern. In 62 professional appearances, Isgrove has only found the net twice.”
