In a recent statement to AS, James Rodriguez’s agent Jorge Mendes has seemingly ruled out a January exit for the Colombia international.

Rodriguez, who hasn’t had the best of times at Real Madrid, has been linked with a host of top sides including Chelsea and Manchester United.

As reported by Goal:

“James Rodriguez will not leave Real Madrid in the January transfer window, according to the Colombia international’s agent Jorge Mendes.

The 25-year-old had been expected to leave the Santiago Bernabeu after being reduced to a bit-part role and admitting he had offers from other teams.

James has subsequently been linked with a whole host of clubs including Juventus who have hinted they could move for the playmaker.

However, Mendes has now seemingly ruled out a January exit from the Bernabeu, telling AS: “James will not be leaving Madrid in January.””
