According to reports, Bristol City could be on the verge of signing Matty Taylor.

The Championship side reportedly submitted an undisclosed offer the Bristol Rovers star and have gained permission to speak with the player.

As reported by the Bristol Post:

“Matty Taylor is on the verge of becoming the first player in 30 years to swap Bristol Rovers for Bristol City in what would be one of the most sensational transfer deadline day moves in the history of Bristol football.

The Post understands that City tabled an undisclosed offer for the 19-goal striker over the weekend and can officially speak to Taylor under the terms of a release clause that was agreed as part of a new deal the striker penned in the summer.”
