Civil war is brewing within Stamford Bridge; Antoine Conte wants to bring in Alvaro Morata, whilst Technical Director Michael Emenalo wants to bring Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea.
The Sun report that Conte see Real Madrid’s Morata as the perfect striker to spearhead the Chelsea attack.
Out of favour
Out-of-favour at Madrid, Morata is keen for a move away, and with the champions-elect interested the Spaniard would be hard-pressed to find a better alternative.
However, Emenalo is purportedly adamant that Lukaku is the better fit for Chelsea.
The Everton star has vast Premier League experience and has been one of the best strikers in England’s top flight for the past few seasons.
The Belgian is the Premier League current top scorer, with 21 goals.
Contract rejection
He has recently rejected a contract offer from Everton – believed to include the highest salary the club have ever offered – sending the rumour mills into overdrive.
If Conte is to concede to Emenalo’s wishes he will have to fight with Manchester United for the imposing striker’s services.
