Newcastle United’s winning goal was scored by Serbia international forward Aleksandar Mitrovic at the stroke of half-time.

Because of their win, Newcastle regain pole position of the English Championship just a point ahead of Brighton and Hove Albion while Wolverhampton drop to 18th place.
