In official news, Conor Hourihane has officially signed with Aston Villa from Barnsley.
The 25 year old midfielder signed on a three-and-a-half year contract in a deal reportedly worth £3 million.
As reported by the Irish Independent:
“Ireland’s Conor Hourihane has completed his move to Aston Villa from Barnsley in a deal worth a reported £3m.
The 25-year-old was out of contract in the summer and a string of outstanding performances in the Championship this term has accelerated his departure, with interested parties prepared to pay a fee to get him six months early.
Villa boss Steve Bruce is an admirer of the Corkman after working together at Sunderland in 2009/10 and he joins the Birmingham club on a three-and-a-half year contract.”
