Manchester City are leading the race for Real Madrid’s Spanish magician.

Isco is set to snub offers from Chelsea and Juventus and sign for City.

Pep Guardiola is quietly confident of acquiring the midfielder’s signature, according to The Sun.

Unsettled

With just one year left on his contract and Isco purported to be unsettled, it is very likely that he will be leaving the Spanish giants this summer.

Isco was close to joining the Citizens from Malaga in 2013, but opted for Madrid.

The playmaker is expected to demand a fee of around £30 million.

Transfer plans

Pep Guardiola today said this of his transfer plans:

“I am planning. Txiki Begiristain is planning. All of them are 20 years old, except one or two cases when we need experience. The age is so important. We are buying for the long term. That’s why Leroy is here, why Raz is here and why Gabriel is here.”

Aged 24, Isco seems to fit this bill and Manchester City fans can expect the Spanish international to adorn the sky-blue shirt next season.
