EPL Predictions: Liverpool set to upset Manchester City at Anfield?

Sunday Predictions

Bournemouth v Arsenal (Prediction 1-3)

Bournemouth seem to get goals out of Arsenal one way or another, Arsenal have scored exactly 3 goals against Bournemouth in 3 of the 5 games they’ve met since Bournemouth’s promotion to the Premier League.

Arsenal won 3-0 in their only other meeting back in the 1987/88 League Cup 3rd round. The Gunners are yet to lose to Bournemouth in all 6 meetings (W5 D1), I don’t see that changing here.

Liverpool v Manchester City (Prediction 2-1)

Liverpool are unbeaten at Anfield in the Premier League against Manchester City since May 2003. That said, City are on quite the run at the moment, having only to Shakhtar Donetsk this season in all competitions.

All runs come to an end, don’t they? I think Liverpool win this one and extend their solid home record against the Blues, ending Pep Guardiola’s side’s Premier League unbeaten run.

Monday Prediction

Manchester United v Stoke City (3-0)

Every time Jose Mourinho has faced Stoke as the manager of Manchester United, he has only managed to take a point. Nothing more, nothing less. He can change that miserable stat on Monday night and take advantage of a messy Stoke side.

The Potters’ caretaker manager Eddie Niedzwiecki has followed Mark Hughes around for a long time now and will probably continue to do so after a new manager is appointed, so I don’t see enough improvement happening for them to be capable of threatening United at Old Trafford.

It would take a really poor display from the Red Devils to not win this comfortably.
