I was supposed to write about the issue of bullying, but after watching my beloved fu** it up yet again….. I changed my subject.
This post is going to be my rant and a display of my emotions, after that dramatic finale to an absolutely dull and boring game. Arsenal needed to win this match to keep their faint title hopes alive. It wasn’t looking like a victory…. until Arsenal got a deserved penalty which Van Persie took with aplomb in the 98th minute. That should’ve been it, right? But No, this is Arsenal we’re talking about….. in the last, last minutes of the game…. Eboue concedes a ridiculous penalty when he bundled down Lucas unnecessarily. Kuyt converted it and it was over…. taking away the three points and our faint title aspirations. I’m not gonna blame the ref who didn’t blow his whistle right after the penalty or Eboue who stupidly fouled Lucas… I’m going to blame Wenger and the rest of the Arsenal team.
I’m blaming Wenger…. for not getting a player who has balls, guts, and leadership to give the team, the confidence and will to win and for putting players out of their position like Bendtner for example, who is a 6’3″ giant and lacks in technical ability and pace, and somehow plays as a winger. I blame him for not instilling the basics of football like shooting and defending, when you can’t play your game or you are under pressure or defending for your life, you don’t play cute!!!! You shoot the damn thing!!! What were Song and the rest of the defense thinking and doing?! They were trying to play cute while they should have been getting the ball away from the defense as much as possible. These are basics, these are things that the players should have known and used, but did they…. no, they did not.
The defence panicked like a bunch of children fighting for the last candy bar. Where was our leader Fabregas when it mattered the most? Where was he to instill calmness under the pressure? Where were the leaders that Wenger talked about?! They weren’t seen at all, the whole team screwed up and not the ref or even Eboue…. we weren’t supposed to be in that situation at all, Liverpool got their equalizer and we have no one to blame but ourselves.
Kroenke needs to start upping the pressure on Wenger or it will be another season without silverware…. our season is over, the title is Man U’s and they deserve it. If this continues, then Wenger should leave…. I know a lot of Gooners won’t accept this, but this is reality…. our beloved team need to man up and wake up, they’re tearing up my heart
…. we fellow Gooners deserve better than this.
