REPORTS: Tottenham eyeing a move for Premier League sensation

Tottenham are interested in poaching Watford star Richarlison, according to Football.London.

Mauricio Pochettino is purportedly monitoring the youngster, with the Brazilian having taken the Premier League by storm since his switch to London over the summer.

Richarlison is believed to be targeting a place in the highly-competitive Brazilian squad for this summer’s World Cup, and if included his price will soar; thus, Spurs are weighing up whether a move in January would be more financially beneficial.

The Verdict

Pace, trickery and potency, Richarlison has the attributes to flourish under Pochettino’s enterprising and expansive footballing ideology.

Tottenham are still gunning for a top four place come January – alongside top sides like Arsenal and Liverpool – and bolstering their attack with Richarlison would do their ambitions no harm.

A move in January makes so much sense on two levels; not only would it add much needed depth to a squad that will be fighting on several fronts, but Tottenham would be able to sign him for a fee that will look a bargain should he flourish into the player his potential promises.
