EPL Predictions: Tottenham to bounce back against a toiling Brighton?

Tuesday – Brighton v Tottenham (Prediction 1-3)

Spurs should be winning this.

Despite losing to Manchester City on Saturday night, they’ve been in good form. They had won their last six league games in a row before that loss and should return to winning ways tonight.

Brighton lost to arch rivals Crystal Palace by three goals to two at Selhurst Park and have lost three of their last four. Home advantage probably won’t be enough to help them beat Mauricio Pochettino’s side tonight.

Spurs would have to win by a crazy amount of goals to take third place back from Liverpool so that’s pretty much impossible but they will want to avoid giving Chelsea any hope of a Champions League spot whilst trying to finish as high as possible and they should be on song tonight.

Tottenham won the Wembley fixture of this game 2-0 in December, but I do think Brighton will get a goal in this one. 3-1.

Wednesday – Bournemouth v Man Utd (Prediction 0-2)

Jose Mourinho has revealed that he will be dropping some of his star players after Sunday’s dismal display against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday evening.

Romelu Lukaku scored the sole goal as United beat Bournemouth 1-0 at Old Trafford earlier in the season. Mourinho is unbeaten in three games against Bournemouth since taking the job at Man Utd with 2 wins and 1 draw, you’d expect him to be unbeaten but in fairness Louis van Gaal did lose to the Cherries.

United won 3-1 on their last visit to the Vitality stadium, Mourinho’s first league game in charge of the club.

Bournemouth head into the game after losing 3-0 to United’s second place rivals Liverpool. Both teams approach the game after losses but you’d naturally expect the bigger team in Man Utd to take the upper hand and win, putting Sunday’s efforts behind them.

I’m hoping for a clean sheet for De Gea and it’d be nice to see Romelu Lukaku back on the scoresheet as he prepares to face Tottenham in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday.
