According to reports, Newcastle United are interested in signing Swansea City’s Modou Barrow.
The 24 year old Gambia international winger has also been linked with a move to Newcastle’s Championship rivals, Aston Villa.
As reported by Wales Online:
“Swansea City are open to letting Modou Barrow leave this window – with Championship leaders Newcastle United in pole position for the Gambian speedster.
The Toon are keen for a wideman having been left frustrated in their attempt to bring Andros Townsend back from Crystal Palace.
And Barrow is on their radar – with Swans boss Paul Clement thought to be prepared to allow the 24-year-old to head to St James’ Park.
Yet it is not clear whether Barrow would exit on a permanent deal, with a loan move not being ruled out at this stage.”
