Romelu Lukaku: Why the Man United striker’s goal spree hit a snag

Romelu Lukaku made a big money switch from Everton to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

United were looking for options to strengthen their attack and add some young talent and they managed to land Lukaku who was in sublime form over the past few seasons at Everton.

The Belgian frontman was expected to all guns blazing for the Red Devils and he delivered for them with 10 goals in his first 11 appearances in all competitions. Lukaku has made 23 appearances for the Red Devils scoring 11 goals and contributing 5 assists in the EPL.

The problem arises when his recent form has taken a toll on his scoring tally. He has played the most minutes by any CF in this season, which in the longer run has exhausted him out. Jose Mourinho applauds the Belgian to still survive the criticism and work hard to give his all in the game.

Mourinho even joked about Lukaku’s dip in performance claiming it’s due to his boots, he has no sponsors for the boots. We need someone to step up and give the Man some good boots so that he can return to his goal scoring form.

With Jose signing a contract extension till 2020 and recent signing of Alexis Sanchez. The reinforced Manchester United attack looks scary. United will still try to challenge for the Premier League title and face Sevilla in round of 16 to challenge for the Champions League.

There’s a long road to go and the Red Devils would want their attackers to score and win matches. All eyes on Lukaku to get back to top form and take United home with top-notch performances.
