Celtic’s possible line-up vs Partick Thistle

Celtic will hope to bounce back from their shocking defeat to Kilmarnock last weekend when they go one-on-one with Partick Thistle this weekend in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.

The current Scottish champions are runaway league leaders but are still hoping to add to their already-saturated trophy cabinet.

8 points ahead of Aberdeen in the title race, the Hoops will hope to move on to the next round of the Scottish Cup and lift another trophy. For that to come to fruition, Brendan Rodgers will have to pin down his best line up this weekend.

Goalkeeper

Dorus de Vries is expected to keep his place and will hope for a clean sheet.

Defender

With injuries to two of the back line against Kilmarnock, Brendan Rodgers has to bring in new players into the team. The injury to Dedryck Boyata means that Britton will have his chance against Patrick Thistle. Captain Scott Brown is expected to lead the line and ensure all is tidy at the back.

Midfielder(s)

Charly Musonda is expected to remain in the lineup with Olivier Ntcham also likely to preserve his place. Kieran Tierney has been in great form recently and will be expected to do more for the team and create loads of goalscoring opportunities.

Forwards

The attack line will be a familiar one with the exception of Moussa Dembele. He has been integrated into the team but will have to start from the bench as European football week is swiftly approaching. James Forrest and Scott Sinclair should do enough to overpower Partick. Three points shouldn’t be taken for granted in this fixture for Celtic.
