EPL Predictions: Manchester United to beat Newcastle comfortably?

Huddersfield v Bournemouth (Prediction 1-2)

Huddersfield are really struggling now and Bournemouth are the opposite, thriving. I read an article the other even suggesting that the South Coast club are dreaming of Europe!

Yes, Bournemouth, in the Europa League, I had to double check just how good the run they are on is. This is the type of games runs can slip up in, with hopeless Huddersfield desperate from the d-to-the-e for a result. But I’ll take my chances with an away win.

Newcastle v Manchester United (Prediction 0-3)

Newcastle have one win in their last five Premier League games, which is not ideal form to be heading into a game against Manchester United with, but each game is its own and once the whistle blows, none of that matters.

That said, when Newcastle played United at Old Trafford, it was clear that United were the superior team. After the Magpies took the lead, United went on to annihilate Benitez’s side who looked evidently the much weaker side.

I think United win here, extending the grip they hold on second place.

Southampton v Liverpool (Prediction 0-2)

Admittedly, it was just weeks ago, I suggested Mauricio Pellegrino’s job was on the line and in the long run it probably still is.

But he’s managed to find something, with the club four games unbeaten, all be it three of them draws, there is undoubtedly progress in getting out of the relegation zone and being difficult to beat. I don’t see them taking anything here though.

Liverpool will be out to get the win especially after last week’s antics against Spurs at Anfield. Wouldn’t be too surprised if they scored more than the two I’ve predicted either.

Monday’s Prediction

Chelsea v West Brom (Prediction 1-1)

I don’t know with Chelsea anymore. Which one will turn up?

Chelsea need this and perhaps more importantly Antonio Conte needs it to keep his job. I don’t have the confidence in West Brom going to the Bridge and taking three points but weirdly, neither do I with Chelsea.

I’m going to sit on the fence here and suggest a score draw, which would probably get Conte sacked, you’d think.

Thanks for reading! More predictions next week, as usual.
