According to the latest reports, Chelsea are keeping an eye on ex-Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez.

Hernandez, also known as Chicharito, has been impressive for current side Bayer Leverkusen since his departure from Old Trafford.

As reported by Kenya’s The Standard:

“Chelsea are plotting a shock move for former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez in the January transfer window, according to German newspaper Bild .

The former Manchester United striker has netted a dozen times for German club Bayer Leverkusen and Mexico’s national team in this campaign.

At the moment, Chelsea’s striking unit doesn’t inspire much confidence with Michy Batshuayi in reserve and Diego Costa on suspension, it is, therefore, seen that Mexico international Hernandez would rectify that issue.

Bild reports that Leverkusen are open to selling Hernandez to offers of around £34 million and it appears Chelsea have taken notice.”
