In official news, Southampton have signed Juventus defender Martin Caceres on a “short term deal”.
The Uruguay international can play anywhere in defence and has played for the likes of Barcelona, Sevilla, and Villarreal. The 29 year old has been linked with several Premier League sides, particularly Liverpool.
He should prove to be a useful signing for the Premier League outfit.
